اتفقت الحكومة الدنماركية على حظر استخدام منصات التواصل لمن هم دون سن 15 عاماً عبر نظام الهوية الرقمية الوطنية MitID لحماية نوم وتركيز الأطفال.
In a pioneering Scandinavian policy breakthrough, the Danish government announced a broad coalition agreement aimed at barring children under the age of 15 from operating accounts on commercial social media networks.
Under the announced consensus, social network providers will be legally compelled to enforce the 15-year threshold. Parents may grant exceptional consent only for adolescents aged 13 and older following an individualized verification protocol.
Enforcement will integrate Denmark's national digital credential ecosystem, MitID, alongside privacy-preserving age-assurance APIs, ensuring platforms verify user eligibility without compromising or harvesting personal identity data.
Danish leadership stressed that commercial platforms systematically monetize adolescent vulnerability and disrupt circadian rest, making robust state-backed youth safeguards an ethical necessity.
