Passed by the Grand National Assembly (TBMM) and promulgated in the Official Gazette, the law prohibits social network providers from offering services to children under 15 years of age.
Pursuant to the legislative mandates, platforms must establish differentiated, protective operational environments for adolescents aged 15 and older, completely separating youth profiles from adult algorithmic recommendation engines and unvetted content streams.
Social network providers face stringent statutory compliance duties: deploying robust, verifiable age-assurance protocols, integrating granular parental oversight controls, and eliminating unrated or predatory gaming modules from youth feeds. The Information and Communication Technologies Authority (BTK) is finalizing regulatory secondary legislation.
